Journey to the Queer Totem - A Free Workshop for Queer Men
Journey to the inner realms, the queer realms. Meet your guides and dance with spirit animals to
find your power and your medicine. Reclaim your queer totem and honor its presence in your life.
A totem is any entity that watches over or assists a group of people, such as a family, clan or tribe.
Some people choose to adopt a personal spirit/animal helper, which has special meaning to them,
and refer to this as a totem.
In this workshop we will take a meditative journey to the queer spirit realm - to explore
and to find inspiration. Then you will create a totem to take home in honor of your journey.
(No previous experience necessary in such journey work or artistic creation.)

CREATIVE SPARK - An Expressive Arts Group for Queer Men
Are you feeling stuck? What's getting in your way?
Shine a light on those obstacles with a CREATIVE SPARK!
This group for queer men, will give you a new perspective
on the things which are impeding the flow in your life.
We will use expressive arts, mindfulness and connection with our bodies to ignite the creative spark.
By quieting the mind and listening to the body, we allow our inner knowledge to express itself fully.
The act of creative expression gives your brain a chance to rest and allows the deeper parts of you
to emerge with answers which resonate with you most.
This group is for queer men who:
• Feel lost or stuck in their life
• Struggle in relationship
• Have writers/artists block
• Want to explore their creativity
• Feel disconnected from their body
• Want to explore bigger life questions
We will meet for 8 consecutive Fridays (Excluding July 3rd).
Dates: Fridays - June 19, 26, July 10, 17, 24, 31, August 7 & 14
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: New Perspectives Center for Counseling
5026 Geary Blvd. @ 14th Avenue
Cost: $30/session or $200 if paid in full by first session.
Commitment to all 8 sessions is required. Space is limited to 7 members.
